Guess who passed the theory-test for her driving license today? On the first attempt? You guessed it - ME!
Now I only have long-distance driving left, and then I can take the practical test! :D

Drawings
The first two are done in photoshop, with my new drawboard (Wacom Bamboo something), and the last one done by hand and edited in PS. Not happy with the sheltie, but for the first time I managed to draw the ears right! I've drawn it after two images of Zoe, the golden is drawn over a photo of Alphi, and the cocker is inspired by Pepita's sister Ada, most winning spaniel 08.
I like the golden, but the cocker in movement is my favorite :)

Weimaraner
While working on a project today (or "working"), I got a bit bored, and started drawing in photoshop instead. I think (surprisingly enough) this turned out quite good, it rather looks like the real deal (except some 'small' details like coat texture, nails and shadows etc. But eh, who cares). No, actually, it is more wish-thinking, this is rather how I wish this breed would look like, but veeeery few in reality does. The topline is straighter, the bone and the head is stronger, the hocks are shorter. Should I continue? Now that I think about it, it doesn't look anything like the real dog. Aw well.

Challenge!
This had to be in Norwegian (and Swedish actually.. Don't ask why). I've been challenged by Ida Kleive to write 7 facts, trivial and non-trivial, about myself. I only usually write in English because I no longer have it as a subject at school. Also, I often think in English (deep down I'm British, I tell you!) and I like the language much more than, say, Norwegian.

History project
As a rule, I won't usually put out my (school) grades on the blog, but all rules have exceptions.
Today we (me and a classmate) got back a history project we worked on for some weeks in September (including our autumn-break..). I didn't really think it went all that well, so I did not have my hopes up. Also, the teacher had said that there was generally not very good grades in the class for that project.. Anyway, to make a long story short, out of the blue he gave us 6-!!!!! (In other words A-!) I am super happy and extremely surprised!! :D

Skull

This is an line etching I did at school a little while ago, which I'm actually quite pleased with. The text is from the song of the same name, by the English 60's band, The Kinks. It was my first try at line etching, so it's a bit "fuzzy" and the text is a bit crooked, but I think the idea itself is good :-)

WFT - Wire Fox Terrier
The prettiest dog I know in the whole world (maybe except for Borzoi) is the Wirecoated Fox Terrier. I always draw this dog on pieces of paper, especially when we have maths or german...
Anyway, this is not a realistic drawing, nor is it very good, but I like it, this is the one I made look most like the real deal.
The only things edited in photoshop are contrast and added color.
The first two photos are kindly lent to me by Hugo Quevedo (seen in the left photo), the last one I took at a kennel club show in Kongsvinger two years ago.

My very own blog
Welcome to my very first own blog!
I'm not really new to blogging, but I've never made one for myself! Check out our dogs' blog which has just celebrated it's one and a half year birthday!
In this one I thought I'd put photos and drawings I do at school (which are not really any good (I'm not just saying that), they're just for fun :))
It will mainly act as a kind of diary for myself, but visitors are of course welcome (anything else'd be kind of stupid as it is on the web).
I will probably put some (or many) pictures of our dogs (we have 5) and cats (3), if they're any good.
If you want to see photos I've taken previosly, just check the (recently linked) dog blog.
Oh, and maybe a bit of background info would do. I'm a nearly eighteen year old girl from Norway. I love photography, and have big plans about studying that in the UK in a couple of years (I'm actually english (In my heart at least)).
Other than going to school, I'm very active with the dogs, we practice agility, obedience, some freestyle and some tracking. And last but not least, conformation. I absolutely LOVE showing dogs! Especially if they have some success (I'm a very bad loser). Recent sucesses with my own dogs include making my first shetland sheepdog (of the proper british type of course) to a champion, not long before she was Best in show at the breed speciality show this year, with over 110 shelties. No, I never brag ;)
To make some money I groom dogs. I've had this business for a year, and although it's unbelievably hard work, it is quite fun, at least when you get a good result. I usually have two or three dogs a week, and have had all kinds of breeds. Some of the breeds I've had here include: Portuguese Water Dogs, Poodles, Airedale Terrier, Am. & Eng. Cocker Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, Löwchen, Bichons (Frisé and Havanese), etc.
